1920 Born on February, 20th in Las Vegas,  Nevada
1931‑1936 Lost hearing at the age 11 and attended the Utah School for the Deaf where he graduated.
1936 Admitted to Gallaudet College.
1941 Received B.A. Degree.
1941‑1947 Chemist for the U.S. Bureau of Mines.
1947‑1948  Worked as a dry cleaner.
1948‑1956  Worked as an assistant county recorder.
1956‑1958 Worked as a proof reader.
1958‑1966 Worked as an assistant city recorder.
1960‑1962 Secretary of the Utah Association of the Deaf.
1962‑1964 President of the Utah Association of the Deaf.
1964‑1968 President of the National Association of the Deaf.
1965 Received M.A. Degree from the San Fernando State Valley College.
1966   Coordinator of the Service to the Deaf, Utah State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The Dr. Robert Gordon Sanderson Collection consists of mostly about his work for the deaf community, dating from 1961‑1984. The collection includes correspondence from the National Association of the Deaf, guidelines of the NAD, history services to the deaf in Utah, and peddling.
