Scouten, Edward SCOPE AND CONTENT The Edward L. Scouten Collection consists of approximately 750 pages, dating from 1941 to 1987. The bulk of this collection consists of articles, booklets, course outlines, newspaper clippings, poems, term papers and speeches. One folder is dedicated to dissertations he wrote for his master’s thesis about the history of the graduate level at Gallaudet College. There is a folder containing letters concerning Jan Afzelius written by a Swedish student who attended Gallaudet College”. In another folder the focus is the Rochester method, of which he was a strong advocate. |
