Scanned Images
You are required to provide disks for scanning with a maximum 75 dpi resolution. You may also purchase discs from the Archives for $2.00 each.

Three Dimensional Objects and Items Requiring Special Handling

Photocopies

• Photocopies of textual materials - $.25

Research
One-half hour of staff time is allotted without charge for answering each reference request.  Researchers will be charged a flat per half-hour rate for each half-hour in excess of the first half-hour.

Search
A search fee for more than 5 photographs will be added to the cost of production fees

RUSH Service
Rush orders will be charged 200% of per order.  1 week or less turnaround.  Available as schedule permits

Publication and Use Fees

Publishing & Reproduction Permission
Reproductions for one-time, one-use, non-exclusive, single language, publication rights.  Please note that by “use,” Gallaudet University Archives means that each and every use of an individual image counts as a separate use.  For example, requesting use of one image for a video production to be distributed in television, videocassette, and DVD formats requires the payment for three uses of one single image.

For-profit entities:

• Editorial Use (within books, periodicals, and other published works) - $20.00
• Cover Use - $50.00
• Non-editorial Use (graphic publication) - $30.00
• Special Media Use (video and film productions) - $50.00

Non-profit entities:

• Editorial Use (within books, periodicals, and other published works) - $10.00
• Cover Use - $25.00

Electronic Reproduction
Reproductions displayed either via the Web or in a CD-ROM and/or DVD publication.
